Had Jack passed away when John was doing X-Men, Avengers and
Fantastic Four, a few years earlier and he was the toast of the town, or
riding high on Superman, I expect that a few people might have made the
suggestion. But by the time Kirby died Byrne was not on books which
were quite as high profile and other creators were grabbing the
headlines.
Regardless-- I thin it's safe to say that most comic fans and professionals
would agree that there was only one man who truly deserved the title and
that was Jack Kirby. Anybody else and you'd hear disparaging rumblings
from somebody but with Kirby it all pretty much makes sense. I mean,
how do you argue with that?

I'd give my vote to JB also. I can't think of a better artist and writer with the same longevity and level of production.

Any time I try out a diner or luncheon restaurant I have not been to before,
the first thing I order is fish & chips. One of my all time favorites -- which is
odd, since I generally do not care for seafood at all.

Fish and chips are awesome, but my favorite part is the fish and chip
PERIPHERALS. I'm talkin' potato cakes, hamburgers, dim sims and pickled
onions.

Richard Pini tells a horrifying tale of what he calls "Scottish Pizza".He and Wendy were in Glasgow, some twenty-five years ago, on a promotional tour for ELFQUEST. Knowing of Richard's penchant for sampling local cuisine, one of the people guiding them asked if he had ever tried Scottish Pizza. Richard allowed that he had not, and was promptly escorted to a restaurant that served the same -- which happened to be a fish and chip shop. There, Richard tells, the pizza was prepared in the usual manner, a disc of dough, tomato sauce, various toppings to order. When that was ready, the cook then rolled it up and dropped the whole thing into the same boiling oil in which the battered fish was cooked. Richard insists that this is not only true, but that he ate the thing. He does admit he spent a few days regretting the latter decision.
