I'm making my way through a 12 step program to kick he action figure habit so I haven't had much to contribute to this thread.  Here's a great Snoopy and Woodstock salt and pepper shaker my wife picked up.  They go well with our cartoon character cookie jar collection:

I can't see salt and pepper shakers without immediately flashing back to a "commemorative" set "honoring" President Kennedy, after his assassination. It was a figure of him sitting in his iconic rocking chair. He was salt, the chair was pepper. The salt emerged from a hole in his head.

I am notbig on Heroclix; the only one I have is Fin Fang Foom.  But, I thought this was a neat one.  In the middle of the blast you can see Wolverines rib cage.

Compared to Fin Fang Foom:

Looking at that Sentinel, I am struck by the fact that technology in the Marvel Universe seems to have suffered the same reversals as beset STAR TREK. Just as the starship Enterprise, which once could be run with a few blinking lights, would come to require all kinds of buttons and switches and screens, armored characters like the Sentinels and Iron Man, once so smoothly shaped, now require all kinds of joints and seams.

(In that third image, I guess Iron Man is wearing his Giant Armor...!)

Yeah, I know, but I can not find a smaller Iron Man or the right armor for the Dragon Seed Saga.

You did however find that completely cool wind-up walking Creature from the Black Lagoon toy, however, Steve, so extra points are awarded for that! :-)

While I liked G.I. Joe, my excitement came when Matchbox released "The Fighting Furies" action figure series.  The Christmas of 1974 is when my brother and received Captain Peg-Leg and Hook.  They were great figures. Captain Peg-Leg had a treasure map hidden in his hollow peg-leg. Like most toys they get played with and unfortunately discarded for the next neat toy.  Not too long ago I was lucky enough to find Captain Peg-Leg.  Now, my quest begins for Hook and other "Fighting Furies" accessories that came out in 1974-75.

Back of the box illustration.  Really nice, I think.

Wow, Steve. I had almost completely forgotten about those. I, too, had Peg Leg and Hook. They were great to have along with the Mego figures.

See lots more Bowen Surtur pics here:

Don't worry. All the flame will be done in see-through, colored resin. The pics only show the prototype.

:)
