Dave, I found HobbyLink Japan's prices for items such as those pretty reasonable (unless you're actually in Japan and have access to a Yodobashi Camera mega-department store and it's Walmart-ish prices on things like toys, models, figures, DVDs, etc., which I sure Martin Arlt already gleefully told you about). Apart from certain oversize or overweight items (which end up automatically getting the pricey EMS express mail), I've never had a problem with what I've order/pre-ordered from them. Pre-ordering will lock in the price at the Early Bird rate, though the final price will be based upon what the exchange conversion rate is at the time they process it for shipping. SAL class shipping is about $10+, but expect a wait around 20+ days for it to arrive (since it's mainly surface mail) If it's something like the Marvel & DC Bishoujou figures, I'd say order from Diamond, Amazon, or Ebay. In this case, I think something like the Ultraman Timer might be better to order from HLJ due to Ultraman's niche market appeal. Not sure how to advise you about the Spinner model, given it's high popularity among Blade Runner fans... I know quite a few members of our recent G-Tour hunted down the nearest Japanese Toys R Us stores to raid their discounted Ultraman toy aisles... Godzilla, OTOH, seems to have faded away as far as general merchandising goes, unless you visited the speciality hobby & second-hand shops.
