I picked up the Eaglemoss Dazzler when MidTownComics was having a sale. Bought several figures for which I would otherwise not have had much interest in finding the shelf space. But a Bowen-sized Dazzler? No interest there!!

Perish the thought of me becoming a collector or even of me begining to buy statues, but this looks good:

I don't know about those Dark Horse figures. What's with all the 'scarring'? I'm comparing Ditko art on the box with the figure and it looks off. Face, legs...everything.

John - Are you kinda partly "responsible" for unleashing Dazzler upon the world? Did you design her?•• I had absolutely NOTHING to do with the creation of The Disco Dazzler. Neither did Chris. In fact, the character was forced on us, in the middle of what was supposed to be the Kitty Pryde intro story, and ONLY the Kitty Pryde intro story, when the Powers that Were at Marvel noticed mutants were popular, so their latest cash-in-on-a-hot-fad character was ordered to be a mutant, AND introduced in X-MEN, Chris and I fought it, but we'd lost before the battle even began. Something to remember whenever Jim Shooter is proclaiming his role as Champion of Creators.

Brian - the Dark Horse figures are supposed to look that way, as a modern recreation of the old time Syroco wood statues. Look up the stuff from the 1940s and 50s - these aren't recreations of originals, but they're meant to be done in that style.
The only one I have is Fone Bone, and I LOVE him. It's a really cute little statue, and if I could afford it I would start scooping up more of them (like the Disney Ducks ones, or Peanuts, or even a few of the Marvel and DC ones).

Brad, thanks for the info...cool stuff! I guess I'll have to see one of these Dark Horse figures in person.

So, John, did John Romita Sr. design Dazzler?
