Sorry if this has been asked and answered, JB, but what inspired (?) you to switch from Blue & Black FF uniforms to Black & White?

Sorry if this has been asked and answered, JB, but what inspired (?) you to switch from Blue & Black FF uniforms to Black & White?•• It HAS been asked before, but it's worth repeating. One of the important elements in creating dynamic comicbook imagery is what is known in the trade as "spotting blacks". This is the strategic placement of black shapes into the pictures, to create a greater sense of depth thru layered planes. One day it occurred to me that making the FF's uniforms black and white would mean blacks would be automatically spotted in every shot the characters were in!

Just occurred to me -- this is one instance in the eternal black/blue "debate" in which I can unequivocally declare the blue to be WRONG and NO ONE can dispute my statement, since / chose the colors for the uniform!!
************** Did you ever envision having to answer the question of the blue/ black debate when you created them?

Giant Japanese monster collectors might want to check out the main X-Plus webpage... A whole bunch of new daikaiju vinyl figures are on the way, including a larger scale Godzilla 1955, a 1965 version of Baragon (Frankenstein Conquers The World), color photos of the Ebirah figure, and more Ultra-monsters: [Ric-Toy Link] Many of these are now available for pre-order from HLJ (if you're willing to put up with the sinking USD vs Yen exchange): [HLJ X-Plus Listing] Incidently, I'm the one who has that Mephirias-Seijin PVC on backorder... I hope they can still find one...

Well, my Bandai Chogokin HoiHoi-San figure arrived today!
For such a small package, it came with plenty of accessories, like extra hands and feet, weapons, the charging stand, and different facial expressions (not shown). Unfortunately, little samurai sword broke while trying to get it into one of the extra hands, so it's going to be in "gun-bunny" mode until I reglue it together,or get a replacement from HLJ. Like the Revoltech and Figma figures, posing can be a little difficult at times, and parts fall off of a lot, but I'm very pleased with it. Now, hopefully it will keep my place free of insect pests...

I like the Year One Batman, but the Mignola isn't for me. Looks like he needs to work on his deltoids.
Edited for spelling.

I really love that they are re-releasing The Mignola Batman but with a clever twist. I really loved the first one but just didn't have extra cash at the time. I think it really captures his 2D drawing style in three dimensions.

Can't wait for the new one!
