X-Plus has had a blog update on some of their upcoming releases...

Comparision photos between the previously released 1968 Godzilla and Angirus (DESTROY ALL MONSTERS) and their upcoming 1956 counterparts; first look at the painted version of the internet-order-only bonus figure of Hedorah in flying mode; more photos about how big the Biollante will be in comparison to the 1989 Godzilla figure (it's going to be beyond my budget), and a look at what appears to be a prototype model for the mecha from the late 80s GUNHED movie.

A couple of videos showing off the features of Max Factory's die-cast Big-O display figure:

Also, looks like Fine Molds is not just doing the Star Wars franchise, but  Hayao Miyazaki films as well:

Sci-Fi Japan has some wonderful photo coverage of last month's Winter Wonderfest in Tokyo...

So many drool-worthy kaiju items, so little money (and space)...

I'd be tempted to pick up that squatting Mini Super-Deformed Godzilla figure,  but it kinda gives the wrong impression that the King of the Monsters is going Number 2...

Geez, that's alot of stuff.
I get the feeling that there was plenty more Ultraman stuff that Sci Fi Japan didn't take pictures of....

Okay, so this is a new Modern Batman figure coming out from Mattel's Batman Legacy line. I just wanted to point out that it should be called "Fanny-Pack Batman".

Seriously. His belt now contains a PBJ sandwich, a juice box, an inhaler, a vacation camera, cel phone from 1987....
and of course, a full can of Bat-Shark Repellant.

Poor guy crammed more into his belt in 1956, and it was half the size!
And by the look of it, he's not too pleased!

Tiny waist and huge pouches do not mix well. That grimace is a terrible choice also. Who is this for?

He looks like The Constipated Batman, cousin of the Composite Superman.

The shadow of Adam West is long indeed!

Funny, isn't it (in a non-humorous way), that so many Batman fans, including professionals who actually draw the character, profess to "hating" the old TV series, and yet this literalization of the utility belt, which started there, is something so many seem to have embraced.

Makes me cringe every time a commission request includes that version of the belt.

Long live the "capsule" belt!

This looks so much better and is the utility belt that we all know and love:
