The mask is pretty close....

This is also a good example of DC Directs style of action figures- less articulation that doesn't distract from the figure sculpt, but has limited poses. Which style of figure is better has been a source of many boring message board arguments ever since Marvel legends figures came out...

The headsculpt on Ultra Man would make a really cool Michael Westen Burn Notice figure. Not that anyone on the face of the earth would actually want a Michael Weston figure.....

Getting more of a young Wayne Newton vibe from this head sculpt.

Not that anyone on the face of the earth would actually want a Michael Weston figure.....

Would not be surprised if a bobble head is in the works. I mean, come on, Dexter has one.

I'm flabbergasted that those wonderful Crime Syndicate sculpts resulted in such hideous final product.

The Crime Syndicate set isn't out yet. I think it's scheduled for the fall.

The Ultraman that pic that Dave posted is from an earlier release.

I like how they have "ghosted" the tips of her hair to make it seem more realistic.  It gives a nice effect of looking more like strands of hair.

I have the earlier Crime Syndicate set, including:

I'm on the fence about getting the new ones.

That crappy (IMO) Ultraman pictured above is from a different line. EDITED TO ADD: ... as Gil already pointed out.

The figure came out okay, but that base...  Ugh.
