Kevin, that was a great idea.

++++

JB, you are a good inker.  I remember you doing everything on FF and preferred your technique.  Do you pencil differently when you have the task to ink?  I tend to smudge my work when I ink.

It occured to me the other day that a Captain Marvel/Captain America WWII story might be fun (Captan Naziw orking with the Red Skull ...).

Did the requester specify the form-fitting Captain Marvel shirt over the one that buttons on the side?

"TRhis should be JB's sequel to Batman/ Capt. America."

Good idea, James.

I wonder if Marvel would lighten up on the copyright stuff and let it be
"Captain Marvel & Captain Marvel" on the cover of such a team-up, or would
it have to be "Shazam! & Captain Marvel"?

***

Nothing was specified, so I went with the most "traditional" version.

"Captain Marvel" can be used on covers as long as it's not the title. So "Captain Marvel & Captain Marvel" would be doable, provided the actual title of the book was something else -- in the manner, for instance, of how my Darkseid vs Galactus story was titled THE HUNGER. (Is that the only cross-company crossover to have a title other than the names of the involved characters?)

I had always imagined what it would be like to see those two namesakes together on one page. One thing to cross off my list. Sweet indeed.

 QUOTE:
What is Mar-vell firing, I thought he could fire blasts from his hands?

That came after Starlin got ahold of him (CM #29).  Before that he used a gadget called a "uni-beam" to zap people.  Kree/Skrull War came out when Marv was "between series."  Don't recall if it was after his first series had been cancelled (#19) or after the two issue revival (#20-21).

That's also why his hair is a little shorter than it is on the OHOTMU cover.  And silver.  (Hard to tell the difference in a b/w shot, though... ;-) )

I've been hoping for awhile that someone would do a "Marvel vs. Marvel" commission (although I was thinking Marvel Girl, Ms. Marvel and Captain Mar- Vell vs. Jr, Mary and Billy), so nice to see someone getting part of the way there! :-)
