What's realy bugging me is the placement of characters facing right (She-Hulk, Wolverine, etc) on the LEFT side of the page. Why not move them to the right side, or flip the images?

Yeah, I would say that calendar page was drawn no later than March of '77, after that Marvel no longer had the licensing to Doc Savage.Yeah, I would say that calendar page was drawn no later than March of '77, after that Marvel no longer had the licensing to Doc Savage.

And Carl Danvers made her first appearance as Ms. Marvel in January of 1977, so that may narrow it down even more.

Just figure out the year of the calendar. The art would have been done about a year earlier.

Looks like the calendar was for 1978, so probably drew it in early 1977. They’d have wanted it in stores for Fall-ish.

I wonder where that Black Widow image came from. I usually have a good eye for identifying distinctive inkers and I'm thinking....Bill Everett?

I think it's from Marvel Fanfare #10 by Luke McDonnell and Brett Breeding.

Robbins drew the Captain America (pretty sure Colletta inked it).
