The action is about to get wild again!
I’m pretty shocked to see Jean’s mom at the mansion. After some of the great emotional pages we’ve seen — I’m surprised she’d let her daughter step foot in that place again!

JB: What do you see as the options?
—
Call Reed Richards? 🤷♂️
Not an easy situation for Jean’s mother, that’s for sure! She feels the X-Men have lied to her — and that they are responsible for Jean’s mental condition. She also feels the X-Men are responsible for destroying her home. I’m guessing the poor woman must have zero trust in the X-Men at this point. It (possibly) sets the stage for some HIGH tension!
I’m curious to see where all of this goes!!!

That might very well have been a next step for Mrs. Grey, but Scott and Logan would have brought Jean back to the mansion, as they did. From there they would’ve called Jean’s parents, who of course would come there to see their daughter. Her compulsion to see her daughter would override her feelings for the X-Men.

Call Reed Richards?••• Why not call Dr. Strange? He could fix everything with the wave of a hand.

Man, speaking of really interesting angles... that Colossus transformation shot manages to highlight the leg brace AND give us a close up of his agonized face. Really great image.
And then it goes straight to a wrestling-type shot that feels totally realistic. That's how a little guy would manhandle Peter. And *then* we get a Scott with no visor blast shot. (and a particularly good one!)
Super cool page all around.

The scope had gotten so "wonderfully grand" with the Sentinels, but this is a pleasant change of pace to focus on just the core X-men in action again. It reminds me so much of the great team-dynamic of JB's original run.
I do love it when Cyclops barks tactics. Seriously. It's so refreshing that he is (unapologeticly) a thinker and leader.
Thank you again, sir, for this most unexpected return to greatness. Cheers all.

Silly question? Without the visor, does Scott control the intensity of his beams simply by how long he keeps his eyes open?
