Scott's left arm and Colossus left shoulder are my favorite parts in this page. This keeps on being an instant hit. JB...thanks for this daily christmas gift !!!

The panel with the four X-Men is just about perfect. I like the way it causes you to interact with the page, tilting your head, following it from the front of the ship to the back.

This whole project should be required reading for a masters class in panel layout.

When this descent started, I was reminded of Fantastic Four 279 where our heroes were in space and needed to descend. There it was combined powers that got them down safely. This was similar and yet different, and no less thrilling. Great stuff!

Brilliant page. Of course they should all be facing downward!
Also, good use of Storm's powers. We rarely see electricity and magnetism being used together!

Panel layout, perspective, anatomy, varied body types/features for different characters. It's even a lesson in inking, as everything is there for a neophyte inker to practice on, including line thicknesses.
I wish I had the time- I would love to follow right along and ink the whole series! If it weren't for that pesky day job...

Cyclops is a heck of a pilot to get the ship back on course for the mansion grounds before it hit terra firma! I'm loving Scott's displays of leadership in this series.

JB: I’d say everything is canon up to the published end of 137. Of course, it’s been a while, and I did not reread all those issues before I started on this. So it’s possible I’ve missed or misremembered a few details. You know. Like in comics. *** That’s what I figured. Makes sense. Thanks for the answer!

Well, up to the untold story version of 137, yes? Since the published 137 kinda killed Jean off...

The last few pages are just incredible. Scott's expression! Wow.
Plus, I like Scott's glasses. More like the sports glasses, which of course makes total sense. It's all of the little things. Wolverine is clearly itching to go track mutants over a several block radius and take another shot at the sentinels.

NIce to see Scott's reaction here. He walls his emotions up pretty tight, but its good to see they are in there... This is the woman he loves, after all! Never doubted it, but I do like to see those moments when it comes out.
