Love your rendition of the Blackbird.
It's a great start to this issue.

Love your rendition of the Blackbird.•• Thanks! As mentioned elsewhere, this is a fairly simple model I built in Strata, to ensure the details were consistent from shot to shot. I add the metallic shine when I trace the images onto the page.

Beautiful stuff yet again - thank you! A perfect example of another key aspect of comics that is so lacking these days: the opening splash page - open the front cover and POW! the story opening hits you int he face. Sadly this tradition seems to have all but disappeared, replaced by some text recap of what has gone before, head-shots of whoever is appearing in the issue and creator credits. All in the name of 'progress', naturally...
Great start to the latest installment! :-)

Those text recaps are just lazy writing. Even as far back as when Shooter got rid of the top copy on the splashes, we were learning all the important information should be IN THE ISSUE.Of course, that gets "cumbersome" when the books are being "written for the trade"--which is just more laziness.

Unfortunately, as the number of characters has grown, it gets harder to keep track of them all, especially when there can be dozens of characters in each issue.

I make a habit of being sure all the characters are called by their names, in different combinations, and use some variant of their powers (if they have any) every issue. That should be enough for anyone to "keep track".

YAYY!!! Two pages in one day! I spend some time with each new page taking in the detail.

Two pages because this “issue” has 21!

My god, man. It's like you were born to draw these characters.

It looks as though you have to be part drafting engineer with the way you draw the various machines and buildings. So realistic.

Your Blackbird has a nice balance of Cockrum and your own touches.
