Me neither.... enjoying the way this story is unfolding.... and, as usual, I'm in awe of the artwork... particularly the panel layouts!
Redundant to say, but I'm hooked!

Well, I didn’t see that twist coming... --Nathan.
Me too!
Now that it has been revealed though, it feels like it really couldn't have been any other way, or is that just me?
Great writing.

This is the "twist" I debated using. As I mentioned, altho it dates all the way back to Chris and me thinking about what we might fo with Willy, I'd used it already in one of my own projects. But, hey, a good idea is a good idea!Especially since I kinda "borrowed" it from Archie Goodwin! Of course, this has nothing at all to do with what Marv Wolfman might have had in mind for the character--or what others did later!

I'm glad you won (or was it lost?) this "twisted" debate!

I think I had that FF issue, but I don't recall it and couldn't find it, so I am just enjoying this issue as it unfolds.
The page a day approach is working remarkably well. I read it in the morning, and it stays with me all day. I have to break it to Garry Trudeau that I have a new favorite daily strip - I am positive he will be heartbroken, even though we have never met nor never will.

I met his wife, once. So there’s three degrees of separation for you, Tim.

Nice! Meeting Jane Pauley is impressive in and of itself, but for me Trudeau is the big win!

The faces are just SO damn good (well, all the art really, but man the faces stand out to me).

I think I had that FF issue, but I don't recall it…•• To be honest, it's a forgettable story, and one I would not have bothered with but for this little itch in the back of my brain. It's also one of those stories that shows how far "off-model" Marvel and the FF had gone in those years. As noted on today's page, a "monstrous" version of the Thing is conjured. Shows how much the real one had lapsed into "Fozzie Thing" mode.

With the standard already set so high, the Prof X face and the rendering on Cyclops (final panel) are next level mastery in order to stand out! Wow.
