Every time I type the name of a NY county or town I flash back to the old joke about East Erbun NY.

I love the way you draw houses and vehicles as much as the characters. So much to look at and enjoy!
About Storm's shadow... Photoshop is great! I've used it to do similar tricks in the past, myself. To me, such tricks aren't cheats, but simply another tool for an artist to use. I see it no different than artists using white paint splatters for stars, snow, or effect, or an x-acto knife scapes for rain, etc. It's just clever use of the tool in question.
About the page, I think this is the first time I saw Sentinel move its eyes.
Edited for typo.

I’m sure when the first caveman artist used a stick instead of his hand to push his colors around there was someone right there to call it a cheat.

I don't have any older issues in front of me now to check, but it feels like you've increased the use of motion lines over what you did in the initial run. Do you approach such things differently, now?

Not consciously aware of it. Always possible Chris buried ‘em under balloons and captions.

A few thoughts as I (finally) catch up with issue #2.
- Really enjoying the tight pencils. I find myself preferring this to the inked page (reminding me of the Angel: Blood and Trenches book, differently executed but giving me the "this doesn't even need inking" vibe).
- Love Wolverine's face on last panel of page 4.
- Love Wolverine getting mad that Nightcrawler calls him Logan. And the fact that he's crazy enough to pop his claws making a teasing game potentially deadly (and that Nightcrawler is laughing all the time -- and continuing to poke the bear).
- Steam from Colossus' transformation? So that's an exothermic transformation. Interesting.
- THOUGHT BALLOONS! Yay! And I like the extra "bubbles" (for lack of a better term) in the balloons themselves.
- I also like that we only see Kitty's thoughts. We are getting her perspective.
- And I love Wolverine's overconfidence, both in the "...he'd be knockwurst" line and the slice-and-dice -> hey! scene (as well as his expression of surprise there).
Thank you JB. I haven't loved reading new X-Men stories like this in decades (that's how long it's been since Hidden Years, right?)

JB, do you have a process for creating the word and thought balloons in Photoshop, or do you use a template of some sort?

Great pages again!
Interesting to see Professor X and Cyclops interacting with Jean's family.
I can't wait to read what's next...
I must say I'm not used to wait a day to read a new page and feeling the urge to visit this thread each day is funnier than I expected.

Hmmm... an interesting couple of pages that gives me food for thought...
It sounds (on the surface at least) that Jean's condition is all due to the Shi'ar "lobotomy", but it does make me wonder if maybe Jean has retreated into herself after all she's been through.
I mean think about the mental trauma: "died" on the shuttle, became Phoenix with massive new powers to adjust to, used and abused (raped?) by mastermind, turned into dark phoenix & murdered billions, and now "fixed" by the Shi'ar.
How does one even begin to deal with the fallout of all of that?
