That was a lot of fun. An enjoyable all-ages book that's not bogged down in continuity, something that barely exists in the corporate comic world of today.

I for one, am grateful that we will get to experience the story and characters as intended, not distorted through production/editorial mandate. Thanks John.

John, I know there's a couple pages left in this issue, but what a fun ride it has been. To have a new Byrne X-Men issue is a wonderful gift, I have enjoyed the daily check to see the page of the day and you certainly knocked it out of the park! Being a total broken record, I must say you are an impressive artist and storyteller. THANKS!

Wow. That was just... great. A tremendous first issue that reintroduced us to characters rarely seen in three decades.
Thank you, John. I look forward to seeing what issue two will bring.

Best comic I've read in a long, long time! Thanks for making me care about the X-Men again. It's been a while.

I'm going to be torturing you all a wee bit by not returning to the Lilandra subplot until the fourth issue. Ain't I a stinker? However, the second issue contains a reference to post-138 continuity I hope you'll find amusing.

JB, are you going to put each issue in it's own thread, or put them all in one?
