Interesting to see the divergence in the application of Sprite's powers here from what we eventually got from Claremont. And I suppose that's actually a divergence in having a perpetual classic vintage Sprite  (i.e. the character remains always a new recruit who has only just discovered her powers) from what we got, which was the yawnsome problem of the passage of time. 

I remember she could 'swim' through earth later on, though I doubt that was the case so early on. Having a Sprite who is still learning the ropes is much more fun, I think.
