No, I didn't. Are you sure you read my posts?

I asked you this question: "James, do you think that everyone that ordered these books from Amazon thought or were aware that the prices were a mistake?"

And I never wrote or said that anyone shouldn't buy something at a discount.

This sale is a pre-order for The X-Men Volume 1 OMNIBUS from Marvel Comics.  I am able to get an exceptional deal on these Omnibus titles, however my shipment will not arrive until approx. March 28.  Please understand this GREAT deal is a pre-order, and be willing to wait 3 to 4 weeks for shipment.

Looking at the link, the seller has some of each of the books for sale.

books he likely will never receive... incredible.

but he's doing "nothing" wrong, right?

So, you say you addressed points I raised in my posts when you didn't, attribute me as having written something I didn't write, and when I reiterate my question you simply respond telling me you avoid my posts.

I suppose you would, since they expose how you are simply twisting a situation around where some people bought some books on a site at discounted prices so that you can make like you are somehow a morally superior being than these other people.

Truth is there was no proof initially that there was any mistake in the pricing of those books on Amazon. Some people might have wondered and suspected something because they discounts were so huge, but others simply took it at face value because retailers do discount big at times. Calling these customers out as if they all were somehow involved in some grand, treacherous scheme to rob Amazon and Diamond blind is nonsense. Amazon and/or Diamond simply listed a price in error and people who saw this price placed orders on those books because of the low prices. Nothing inherently wrong or evil about any of that.

And, as I note in my post that you claimed you addressed, and later say you try to avoid, Diamond has very recently offered retailers huge discounts on trades it wants to clearance out, so the huge discounts on Amazon seemed to me to be along those lines at first glance.

I love the way the guy wrote up the auction.

"I was able to get these very inexpensively"

A for effort though, I guess.

Yes there was Matt.... the MSRPs were wrong... that was an indication.

Amazon always lists MSRP, and then their discount on top of it.

Not everyone may have caught that, but the retailers who normally buy through Diamond, but tried to buy these off of Amazon would have known for sure.

So, a random consumer or an experienced retailer? which one are you, matt?

The only thing worse than trying to get these cheap to resell them is not having the integrity to admit it when called out on it.

This thread was obviously started as a positive ("Hey guys!  Great deal on comics!") but has turned into something full of negativity.  Someone with the power, please put this thread out of its misery.
