same logic people use when they file bogus insurance claims... they aren't taking a loss... they have the money *****
An Insurance company getting robbed is like a child molester getting raped.

Amazon has amazing sales once in awhile that are certainly not mistakes or glitches. I keep a list of items in my "wish list" at Amazon and check it frequently because once in awhile something randomly drops to like 20% of the original retail price or lower. This is how I got the first volume of the complete Popeye ($29.95 retail) for $5.00 about two years ago.

I just posted a link in the movie forum to an incredible blu-ray deal over on Amazon UK. Never imagined it'd be framed as a moral issue, now I'm wondering if I should have turned it down over concern for Amazon's bottom line!
Just kidding.

And Big Lots sold that Popeye animated collection and many DVD sets for $3, retail. Big retail stores do discount items at really great prices sometimes. so I wasn't totally surprized that Amazon seemed to be doing the same thing with a selection of comic book trade paperbacks. There wasn't any real reason to suspect it was in error, so I don't see why people who bought the books at what they believed was just a great discount are being accused by some as being unethical. James never has addressed my question to him in my post at the top of this page, or any of the other points I raised about this issue. For some reason, he just seems to want to attack people for buying books because most assumed it was just a great sale, acting as if they all had some insider information about a nefarious plot to misprice the books or something.

Matt, I absolutely addressed your points. You said I should never buy something at a discount. I disagreed. A discount is different that a glitch that results in a loss for the seller. One the seller had control over, and the other it doesn't. Again guys, retail prices, closeouts, sales are one thing. A glitch that could result in substantial losses is another.

Absolutely James. Though getting angry at posters in another forum and attacking people's intregity here is akin to getting angry at your next door neighbor for having a clogged toilet and going across the street to take a dump on another neighbor's front lawn. Nothing morally ethical about that behavior.
