Maybe this kind of "Classic" cover had an influence on myself and led me to think Supes is as muscular as Captain Marvel ... but I agree with the fact that having a super strength does not imply to be very muscular .

Concerning your latest question, John, "So where did Superman's big muscles come from? ", I think we could open a tread about it.

We could imagine Supes has the "standard" Kryptonian morphology and that Kryptonians are all built like a tank. But we have already encountered others Kryptonians not so muscular. So maybe Clark's body had to increase his muscular density so that he can store all that solar energy. What do you think (in another tread, I guess...)

Superman has always been drawn with whatever passed for a muscular
physique at the time. In the Thirties, that meant a circus weight lifter. In the
Fifties, when I met him, that meant Charles Atlas. Nowadays, it's more in the
Schwarzenegger mold.

It's not internally logical, but it's comicbook shorthand.

Shouldn't the part of the cape that I've circled in the image below be WHITE instead of YELLOW?  There's no "border" there -- that's where the cape drapes over the neck cord . . . so the yellow edge border shouldn't carry through to this part of the cape:

Or am I mistaken on this?  Just finished painting my custom JLU Captain Marvel and the edging on the cape was a PITA, so I'm painfully aware of how I think it should look.

You are correct, OtherJB. Flattened out, Cap's cape would look roughly like
this:

Cool!  Thanks for the response, JB -- that's EXACTLY how I pictured it (and exactly how I painted it on my JLU custom).

Easy fix for the Eaglemoss figure -- looks like it would be relatively easy to re-pose him in the classic "arms akimbo" pose, too.  Might be worth trying if these figures ever become available stateside -- as it is, the pose isn't bad, but it looks like they couldn't decide on how to pose him, or what he was supposed to be doing (both arms down in a fist would have been cool, both arms on his hips would have been cool, as it is, I still think the pose looks too awkward).

I have no interest in or affection for the character, but that's a very nice Booster Gold sculpt.
