Great gift idea.

••

They come in different sizes, shapes and prices. Most are not cheap!!

Incidentally, this piece (and others to be seen online) are actually displayed upside-down.

If you have $700 to spend on a voice/app-controlled, self-transforming Optimus Prime - LINK

Decided to try a LEGO knockoff, Nefeliz. A Jeep Wrangler with 2000+ pieces. Started this morning. Six steps in, a piece missing. Thought I’d see if the particular unit, part of the steering assembly, would hold together without the missing piece. Four steps later discovered the assembly instructions are so poorly illustrated an entire step is left out, requiring substantial disassembly.* And then it dawned on me that there would be a mirror image of this unit for the other side—also with the piece missing.

So much for that! I think I’m really cured now.

_________

* The instruction manual is about half the size of the ones that came with the LEGO kits I tried, but have more assemblies per page, making for very small illustrations.

The new addition to my Batmobile collection is the one in the plastic shell.
A nice book came along with it.

A Stitch cookie jar has caught my eye—but I’ve been burned too many times by preorders, so I’ll wait.

So tempted on the silver surfer.  Not sure the Galactus does the big guy credit. So hard to convey his scale and power

Superhero pint glasses are probably the closest thing I come to "collecting" things nowadays. I get maybe 1 or 2 a year.
Usually I get my glasses in color but couldn't pass this one up.
