Question for JB on the motivation of Shaw in Elsewhen...
Shaw is obviously the antagonist of the story, who trying to defeat the protagonists — but I’m curious if Shaw had a bigger goal behind beating the heroes? I have friends who say he was after “world conquest” — but that wasn’t ever stated, so I don’t know if that’s true... I thought I’d finally clear this up! :)
Thank you in advance for answering.

Love the sneak peek page. I have always liked the pages and stories in the past that JB has done with no dialogue. This page might be visuals only, but time will tell. Either way, solo Wolverine subplots always seem to work in JB's hands.

VERY nice groundwork laid there, JB.
Also dig the reflection in Simon’s lens

With the nebulous timeline in which ELSEWHEN takes place, "groundwork" is a good way of describing what's happening here. After all, my tenure on WEST COAST AVENGERS is a long way away.

Maybe I'm reading into it too much, but the somewhat hooded look of the reflection kinda evokes a bit of threat (liked a hooded hangman) which matches Simom's mood and his "no need for lectures" dialogue. Yea, I might be reading into it a little I know...
Anyway, it's a nice callback (callforward?) to Simon and Vision having the same brain (engrams)and thus similar feelings for Wanda. Although I do prefer Wanda and Vision,I can understand Simon's feelings.

When presented in context the sneek peek page will be neither silent nor a "subplot". In fact, it will be finally bringing a subplot onto the main track.(Vague enough?)
