yes it can Trevor

I've added some of the tweeking i didn't like about the photo now i changed the belt buckle also but to be honest i did like the design of it the only thing i didn't change from how his costume is from the comics is the "S" i like it being 3d and the red i left it like it is because i kind of like the leather look...I did some changes to his body so he can look like the man of steel and not Superboy

It is amazing how much Christopher Reeve looks like Superman.  Makes the new guy look like he's going to a costume party.

Great job with the Photoshopping, Gerry! Can you makes these changes for me if I buy a copy of the DVD? I'll pay the postage to Scotland ;-)

If they wanted to darken the colors, they should've gone with a darker blue and kept the red the same tone.

And this guy absolutely looks like Mr. Big from Sex and the City! Maybe Kim Cattrall could be Lana Lang... (no, I don't watch that show...I leave the basement occasionally to find girlfriends!)

It's Superman, for cryin' out loud! Everybody knows what Superman looks like! How far out of your way do you have to go to totally botch Superman? Why, oh why, do we have a liver-colored Superman?

We aren't talking about a character no one's seen before, or a lesser character like the Flash here. It's Superman! YOU CAN'T F***K UP SUPERMAN! Or can you?

Sure you can.  DC has done it, to varying degrees, in their SUPERMAN titles for at least the past decade.

Looks sorta cheap and cheesy to me.  Hopefully it'll look better "in action".

I'll agree DC has made some mis-steps with their own character, Matt. But it was their character to err with. This guy, this suit, don't seem right, and I don't know how anyone could think, "yeah, that'll work."

The little emblem and dull colors look crazy.  So far, it all doesn't seem very Super. They should take a page from MOS and leave all the colors dull until he puts the costume on in the movie and then go with the bright colors for effect.

I'm ambivilent about the costume. I would prefer it to be brighter.

Honestly, if I came across that costume in one of DC's comics, I wouldn't bat an eye, and would just attribute it to the individual artist's style. Consistency across comics doesn't seem too important.

Same with Brandon Routh. Haven't seen anything yet that makes me think he'll blow the role, nor anything to really impress me. I would prefer him to look a little more mature, though.

The Chris Reeve version had a female costume
designer, too.

In my opinion, a movie like Superman should not have a costume DESIGNER when it comes to Superman himself.  This movie should have a costume MANUFACTURER.

Let the designer figure out was Lois and Clark and Perry will wear.  Leave Superman alone!
