I think it looks terrible. Dean Cain's suit looked much better than this.
Superman has a RED cape and boots...not brown. The "S" belt buckle
doesn't bother me. However, I think Routh, this suit and Kate Bosworth as
Lois all look BAD. No thank you.

The color scheme bothers me the most.  Should definitely have kept the bright primary colors - and made the S shield bigger.

Based on Gerry Turnbull's color tweaks if the costume were to keep with the primary colors I could probably forgive some of the other changes.

( sigh ) They can't even get the most recognizable uniform on the planet right, and it's not that hard of one to make. They even got the wrong color of red on this one. Someone needs to go kick Singer in the jimmy until he decides to do this right. Well, WB get ready for a box office flop, because I wont be seeing this one, unless it's on cable, and there isn't anything else on.

You're right in that it could be every woman's dream, but how many straight guys do you know wear muscle shirts and speedos?  I'm guessing not a huge number.  While this look may be appealing to women too (and I'm not saying it isn't) it's definitely more of a "gay" look than a "straight" look.  At the very least it's more Metro-sexual than Metro-polis.  Does anyone know who designed this costume?  I'm curious as to whether it was a man or a woman.

Ok, I read the article, it was designed by a woman.

Well, I e-mailed it to a couple of friends. The first one wrote bad "I don't know. I was expecting something else. This one looks a tad...gay."  Never heard him refer to something as gay before (as some people do derogatorily-Oh that is so gay).

Truth be told, it never really enters my mind to label something "gay."  But that is one who agrees with you, so there you go.

In the TV pilot for Lois and Clark, Dean Cain had an even smaller S on his chest than this guy. They changed it after that into what I call a "Byrne sized" s.

I have continued to change where Gerry Turnbull left with improved colors, and also inserted Mr. Byrne's wonderful S. I have always wanted a regular leather belt on Superman and I found this Superman belt serching the net. And "my" Superman does not have extremely short legs like this actor seems to have.

Yeah... really -- REALLY -- don't like it. Really.

(Glad they didn't go with a padded/musculature-type costume, though.)

There's something not right about the shorts or the wasteline.  I can't put my finger on it.  Maybe the smaller emblem is what makes it look strange.  Either the shorts are too low, or too small, or it's just the distance from the emblem.  This bugs me.

You got a problem with "Speedos"?
