Mr Byrne,
Thanks for allowing us to watch this exercise play out. It was a dream come true to see you drawing these characters again, but it was even more fascinating to learn about the creative process of a comic book. I've always enjoyed your pencil work, so it was nice to see these pages not inked. Todays finale was probably your best page, and that says a lot given the quality of the others.
I found this experiment to be very telling about the industry and what is not working anymore. Aside from the refreshing "page a day" delivery system, no one but YOU, knew what was coming next. I had suspense in comics again — something I've really missed.
For you this was, I'm guessing, an experiment wrapped in fun. For me, it was a beautiful blast from the past that revealed why I used to love comics and what's missing from them today.
Thanks again and I look forward to seeing what drops out of your pencil next.
