“Do you really think citing Wolverine means I'd ignore everybody else?”
Of course not — Sorry I did not mean to imply that.

I have been away from this forum for quite awhile. I think I'll stick around for a bit and see what happens! I have a feeling the best Byrne is yet to come!

Well now that it seems the 5 originals are terminated/going back to their original time, this could take its place! Both things at the same time would be, if still posible, more confusing for new readers.

I can't imagine MARVEL are doing so great that (see sales statistics in another thread) they could let a project like this one pass...Now if JB is starting to use the word "issue" it means we're probably getting somewhere...In short, I'm thrilled !

It fun to watch the wheels turning, you're a creator at heart, so I'm sure that it's hard to unplug the machine.
If this happens, I want to subscribe like the good old days (maybe the postman won't fold the comic in half this time).
If it doesn't, that's cool, at least we have issue X-Men Elsewhere #1!

This thread makes me happy in more than one way. There's the obvious thing of seeing so much great, new art with well-loved characters in their classic vintage; there's the 'hearing' of those familiar voices in those pages with dialogue; but there's also the knowledge that JB is enjoying the process, that the creative processes are firing so fully... Five issues of ideas! Love it. Happy to have seen so much good stuff already. Every new page is just a bonus.

JB, Would you consider working on more than one book a month? Maybe as just the writer or penciler?

CB noted that in one of our email exchanges I mentioned having a "couple" of series ideas, but I cannot recall what the other might be. Perhaps he was recalling my saying here that I'd love it if Marvel gave HIDDEN YEARS back to me. But I wouldn't want to taper off my career as He Who Lives in the X-Men's Past!

It’s been fascinating to sit back and quietly watch this process unfold. Panel 1 page 2 hit me in a way comic art hasn’t in a long long time. Cyclops or more importantly, John Byrne’s Cyclops, the real deal.
While many a talented artistic hand has worn the X-Men glove, it seems to me, at least, that there is only one true perfect fit and that hand is back in the glove.
Should this project come to pass in an official capacity, only two things concern me, it needs the right inker and maybe more importantly in this day and age the right colorist.
It’s also exciting to think, having seen JB’s X-Men for so long, with the possibility of this project we may finally get to “hear” them too for the first time.
It was disheartening to hear you were no longer drawing, as one thing that stood out from interviews back in the day, was just how much you enjoyed it, drawing all the time. It’s gratifying to see you back and dare I say, drawing better than ever.
