All these newer postings are really nice. Would have been great to also be standing at that table of artwork!

It just hit me how similar Grell’s signature is to Neal Adams’s.

The year is almost over and I did not buy a single piece of comic art because I sort of shifted interests and had other pursuits.  Then I realized I could not go a year without buying anything can I?  So I got me this....

Damn, that looks good. Congratulations, Jovi!

Anyone know if Sergio still does conventions? I haven’t heard of him
coming to the East coast in years.

I'd be afraid of putting up a Groo page on my wall. My home would probably end up destroyed. (Anyone who's read GROO THE WANDERER will understand why.)

********************************

The most recent I've read is the San Diego Comic Fest on March 7-10, 2019, maybe you have enough advanced notice to travel up to the West Coast to meet him.  Sergio is already 81 years old now, so maybe he travels less?

Adam and Joe, thanks for the kind words on the art.  I have a more complete detailed commentary on the art elsewhere in a hosting site that hosts comic art.

Jovi, it is up to you, but It is not against the rules here to add a link to
your gallery. Good write-up btw.

Here is a vintage page from Filipino artist Francisco Coching, known was "The Dean of Philippine Comics."

This is from 1946 - the right side of a double page spread in Liwayway Magazine dated June 24, 1946.  I think the action and angles he uses here are quite incredible.

Here's the entry in my gallery for a more detailed description:
