I was hemming and hawing about ordering the Wonder Woman vs. Ares statue in the same series, and after getting home and opening this, I immediately called back to my LCS owner to ask him to get one for me.

I love the Superman vs. Darkseid, it's such a great moment for those two, but this one has insane details on it that just keep showing up the closer I look at it. Really looking forward to the Ares base with the dead soldiers from different wars rising up to help him fight Wonder Woman! I'll post a pic once it comes in in a couple of weeks!

That Power Girl and that modern Thor look pretty sweet!

(The Dormammu is nice, but I prefer him without his crown thingamajig)

Brian - the Power Girl is pretty awesome. The white part of her costume is done in a pearl finish. Much like the other ladies in the line, the different finishes on the paint really given an illusion that different pieces are made from different materials.

I thought that was Colossus wearing a wig, not Thor!

Brad, is the PG figure actually attached to the base or does it just stand on it? I may see if I can pick up one at the LCS next time I go in, which won't be for a couple of weeks, and if its not attached I'll be picking up some glue.

And I actually like the seams that were added to her costume in the comics. It works on her, and really makes the figure stand out, but I think it stinks that they added seams to the Captain America (Steve Rogers) mask. Looks awful on him.

(Did Perez add the seams during Infinite Criris, or did someone else do that to her costume first?)

Brian - she is indeed attached to the base. The only one in the line that isn't so far is Black Canary. If you don't have them already, and if you're so inclined, I'd also recommend the Catwoman for the beautiful look of her leather and the Black Canary because her fishnets look incredible at that scale.

Due to being unemployed AND now having health issues, I'm on a limited budget, which is why I haven't gotten any new art commissions lately, so I won't be buying a lot of figures. The only figure besides Power Girl I'm considering getting is Catwoman. I don't like the pose used for Wonder Woman, and am hoping they'll do a Black Canary with her classic outfit at some point. If they do a Barbara Gordon Batgirl, that'll probably be a must-have, though.

I'm looking at possibly getting some of the mini-busts, though, since they'll be easier to display and are cheaper. (I don't have a lot of room for displaying or storage, either, because a lot of my shelf space is taken up by books I'd rather not dispose of)
