Galactus figure coming from Hasbro. While I am not crazy about the sculpt and probably won't buy this, I am impressed by the scale.

I don't understand the trend in making Galactus' helmet into a borg ship.

On a trip to Wal-Mart this morning I wandered through the toy aisles and was stunned by a sharp increase in prices on the DC UNIVERSE figures now $16 each and the small 4" Marvel figures at $9 each!!!!  These prices seem WAY too high!  Is this everywhere or just locally for some reason?

The arms, legs, and body of that Galactus look suspiciously like the Toy Biz Build-A-Figure from Marvel Legends Series 9 with a different head on top and a slightly different paint scheme.

The only reason he looks so big now is those are 3 3/4" figures he's standing with, not the 6" Legends he was released with.

Anybody wanna buy my much better looking Galactus? I stopped collecting Legends when Hasbro took over.

The prices on Hasbro MU and Mattel DCUC have gone up, yes. Not a local phenomenon. Hasbro dialed the G.I. Joes back to a SRP of $5.99 after they went up to $7.99 (and $9.99 in some places), but those figures were pegwarming. I think Star Wars and Marvel Universe have been selling through at the higher prices, so I expect the prices for those lines to remain higher.
