Bowen Hercules Update!

••

Not crazy about that one. Lacking the joie de vie of the bust, and the character!

You'd have to be a Space Battleship Yamato / Starblazers fan with deep pockets to order this model.

I have only vague memories of Spaceship Yamamoto from when I was  wee lad, but I always thought that was just a cool looking ship!

Those are the Marx figures! I love them! Do you still have the ones you painted?

Dwayne, I LOVE those animated Star Wars maquettes, but I seem to be in the minority there.

I would love to see an Ep IV Luke (white outfit w/lightsaber) a Queen Amidala (Ep I), and some more Jedi like Kit Fisto, etc.

Spider-Man and Iron Man, tho I have not seen them since my move. Doubtless still in a cardboard box somewhere in the basement!

The others somehow drifted away over the years -- except Captain America, which I GAVE away.

Well, my order from HLJ has arrived and I decided to test drive one of those Bandai Lightning Base Plates :

With the room lights on, only a slight glow is visible.  However, in a darkened room...

Note: I did use a nighttime setting on the camera, coupled with flash, on the second photo.

And if you have a camera with a slow shutter speed...

(Nighttime with Tripod mode)

And the base is large enough for two 4-5 inch figures to display as well:

Sorry, I didn't have a King Joe figure in the same scale as Ultra-Seven here, so poor Robbie gets to act as a substitute...
