John - So you didn't like MEGO's, but what did you think about the Marx Marvel figures from the late 60s? Did you care about collecting back then?

I got into comics not by MEGO's or other toys, rather I got into them by the fact that they were omnipresent in the early 80's. Looking at things now it's hard to believe that up till the early 90's, my then local grocery store carried most of the Marvel and DC line.

…what did you think about the Marx Marvel figures from the late 60s?•• If you mean these…
…they were still available in the early 70s when I got back into comics. I bought and painted a set. Thought it was cool, if perhaps a trifle odd, that the Hulk was based on Ditko's version.
