People on this board who say that the industry doesn't cater for the next generation should read this page.

I don't think that anyone would argue that this is the
"Golden Age" of comic book merchandising, Michael. Trade
collections, toy's, games, statues, etc, have never been
better.

There's very little evidence of toys and games causing people (kids) to buy comics in any real, financially significant sense. The flow is almost always in the other direction.

That reminds me!  My four year old nephew got this Batcave for Christmas:

It was THE number one hit gift of the season!  It had the hallmark of any great gift:  all the other kids were fighting over it!

Is that the Imaginext playset?  I was surprised my son passed over that one for their dragon castle.

That sounds right, Ryan because I think my other nephew got the dragon castle!

My son got the Batcave for his birthday in October and has not stopped playing with it. It really is a great toy with lots of different action features. Also the Super Hero Squad can easily play with it too.

Ryan - I have seen the Imaginext Dragon Castle and it is freaking awesome. If it was not for the Batman aspect I would have picked that over the Batcave.

I pretty much got into comics because of MEGO dolls in the early 70s.
