All moot in any case, really. I have a "rule" against buying action figures, as distinct from statues, and I have broken it only a few times.

Who is that guy with goggles, a black jacket, and the Superman symbol?

I vaguely remember Sandman wearing that armored costume from an 1970s FF issue (that also had cameos by President Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, and Ronald Reagan).

Sandman wore that costume while he was a member of the Frightful Four. If I recall, I drew him dressed that way in an FF issue on which I was strictly Art Robot.

During that time, he also seemed to get a lot smarter, which Roger Stern suggested might have been caused by the Wizard messing with his head!

Thanks JB!  (And Ryan)

Man, I miss the old villain teams like the Frightful Four and the Wrecking Crew...

I love that costume simply because it was on the cover of one of my first Spider-Man comics. I traced this cover so many times that it was virtually destroyed.

Sal Buscema interiors!
