Statue Marvels own jguerin117, a military medic who was severly wounded in Afganistan (read about Jeff's story here... http://www.statuemarvels.com/f179/jguerin117-one-our-own-234 .html ) ...is in the process of building perhaps the biggest Bowen Designs/Marvel Statue Display Case ever! Please stop by and watch his creation as it is built! http://www.statuemarvels.com/f87/biggest-bowen-display-case- ever-see-jguerin117s-creation-happens-6706.html Al PS: Jeff also consulted with Marvel on a recent issue of the Amazing Spider-Man that focused on Flash Thompson getting wounded in the war.

Flavio wrote: Somebody really hit it designing that Goliath costume!** Gene Colan drew Avengers #63, the issue it first appeared in, but I'm not sure if he designed the costume. I always like the way John Buscema drew this version of Goliath, since he often employed perspective in the figure, with some parts of the body noticably "further away" from your eye than others.

Thanks for the link Al. What an impressive collection.
I think I had dollar signs in my eyes as I was checking out the pics. That is a lot of money spent. My son was looking on and naming all of the characters.

Jeff has had some commissions done, too. I've seen a few, they're awesome !!
He's a great guy, a true American hero, and deserves his happiness. A simple thing like reading a comic book is gone for him, he finds his love of superheroes renewed in 3-D form.
That's a great display area he's got going on. Can't wait to see the finished product.

This morning I looked around my Studio and finally admitted something I have been dancing around for quite some time: I AM OUT OF ROOM!Yep, there's nary a square inch of shelf space that doesn't have something crammed into it. Sadly (tho my wallet rejoices) this called for a hard decision. I removed all the toy sites from my Menu bar. Now -- does this mean I should put this whole thread on IGNORE?

Hmm. Yes. Always thought the Silver Surfer would look better with TP trailing from his fingertips…

JB wrote: "Now does this mean I should put this whole thread on ignore?"I say the nay! If someone needs to limit the amount of 'toys' for any reason, be it shelf space OR budget, I think it's still a good thing to SEE what's available out there. That way you are aware of what's out there in case something totally irresistable does come along. Stopping Cold Turkey sucks, and you always deserve to treat yourself every blue moon. Besides, looking at it on the computer screen is somewhat comparable to seeing it in person on the shelf.* * At least that's what I have to keep telling myself. Especially when I see art commissions!

JB, If that's Toilet Paper on Silver Surfer's fingers, then what's that stuck to the board?!?

JB, About a year ago I moved into a new house and pretty much the entire basement is serving to house all my comics/toys/art etc. I vowed to never outgrow the basement with my collections. That means being really picky with what I buy and getting rid of things I don't have room to display. I'd hate for you to ignore this thread entirely, your contributions are most appreciated!

JB, If that's Toilet Paper on Silver Surfer's fingers, then what's that stuck to the board?!?•• Whatever it is, it's extremely caustic. You can't quite see it from this angle, but the back of his board is completely "eaten away".
