I think some of you folks need to refine your definitions of "fat." The Alex Ross figures aren't "fat", unless by "fat" you mean "mature." I think judging by Ross' interests, he sees his superheroes through the eye of television, George Reeves and Adam West, who weren't exactly idealized superhero bodies but actors/idealized males of a different era. I'm not defending Ross, but I like that he doesn't make the heroes look like WB actor auditions for "Smallville" either. Compared to Neal Adams Batman, I reckon Ross' figures are "fat"ter, husky, beefy or however you want to put it. I don't care for Ross' Batman, either, or most of the other representations because of the "realism" involved in the costumes and such. But I always believed Ross' Superman was pretty solid, and age-appropriate (late 30s-plus years old).
