This morning, the U.S. Kotobukiya forum has put up some larger photos of that Bishoujo Psylocke, some from different angles than previous:

Not surprisingly, she's also getting the adult "Max" label as well...

The female ninja version of Psylocke is reportedly very popular among Japanese Marvel fans, so the initial release around May 2010 (Japan) might be a quick sell-out.

JB, I believe "Max Products" just a Marvel licensing brand label indicating that this particular figure is mature buyers only (it wasn't on the previous Bishoujos).

Maybe "adult" wasn't the best word to use, but that same Max label was on the controversial Invisible Woman statue by Rockin' Jelly Bean (although that also had "Explicit Content" marked on it as well).

It's like all those slightly greasy guys who used to ask for nude sketches at cons are suddenly in charge of the companies.

I prefer the gold bracelets Lynda Carter wore on Wonder Woman.

That statue is a bit too coquettish for Wanda, but I still like it.

It's nice, but I would have prefered Wanda in a pose like in Shunya Yamashita's poster from SDCC 09:

All the Koto Bishoujo statues have carried the MAX label. Looking at my Rogue and Black Widow I/II boxes right now.

Hmmm...  I haven't seen the MAX label on the Japanese Marvel figure adverts until the Rockin' Jelly Bean one came along...  I guess I assumed it was a separate warning label...

I think I need a fitting for a hairshirt...

One thing the Bishoujo statues seem to excel at is the way they do the skin tones.  Much like the lettering and coloring analogy, their skin tones don't distract.  Many of the statues I see immediately "look" like they're painted.
