They always struck me as having a real 18th century British Navy feel to
them... (Which were not at all practical uniforms.)

Anyway, probably a discussion better suited to the Trek threads than here.
Thanks, JB!

Looking at Reed Richards, I'm thinking his one stretched out arm would look great holding some Kirby/Byrne technology.

The advice is much appreciated, JBodin!  I never would have thought Pine-Sol could do that.

Glad to help, Ryan -- Pine-Sol is one of the more "friendly" things you can use (not overly caustic or dangerous).  I've read that brake fluid (!) will also work, but that can be hard on plastics, which could be problematic with regards to the base portion of the figure.  Be advised, though, if you go the Pine-Sol route -- it DOES take a lot more time than other chemicals might take, and even when it works, the paint may still SEEM untouched (the paint on my figure showed no signs of "bleeding" or peeling or anything until I started scrubbing with the toothbrush).

Mark,

The first time I discovered these figurines, I was in France this past fall. I bought two (Captain America and Captain Britain) on a Monday afternoon, but I got bitten by the bug and went back into Strasbourg on Friday morning and bought nine more! That was one heavy carry-on bag on the way home, let me tellya.
