Ooookay...
Back to the figurines, I won't get the Winter Soldier. I still don't understand why they release those characters instead of "Classic" or "more important" characters, such as Giant Man, Machine Man, some Galactus's heralds such as Terrax or Nova which would really bring something by being made into a figurine (you know, the magic of having the cool chains or details on the GR figurine or the fur effects on the Beast, ...)
Winter Soldier is just a guy with a bionic arm... too recent, not "important" imo, not a big challenge in the making of the figurine I think (even if the face is cool)...

Ryan, it's not a girl, it's Winter Soldier !!! I don't read Captain America anymore, but I think it's Bucky (yes !!!).
I am sure other people will tell you more about this one ...

Wah-hoo! Also just got notification that Mister Fantastic, Yellowjacket,
Sandman and Luke Cage are en route. Plus the Captain America
satuette recreating his pose from the cover of AVENGERS 4.
Since I recently rearranged my Eaglemoss figures (the first dozen or so,
anyway) into roughly "chronological order", the arrival of Reed finishes the
front row. Yay!

One of the things I DON'T like about these figurines -- and it is a minor
complaint, since all I have to do to "fix" it is not buy the ones I don't want! -
- is that their choices sometimes evoke memories of OHOTMU and WHO'S
WHO, with incredibly lame and transient characters being included alongside
the true classics simply because they happen to be in the books now.

Or in a movie ... otherwise, I don't understand why they would release so much B list characters such as Rogue, Mystique, Blade, ... when they still have not yet release true classic characters that kids don't know because they are not featured in a movie or a cartoon.
When the first figurines were released, I remember my surprise when I saw Blade was going to be released waaaaaaaaay before "Big Guns" such as Thor or Captain America ...
I am really looking forward to seing what Charles Xavier will look like, since they postponed its release because they didn't find a proper design for the figurine. They really seem to want to release this one RIGHT (too bad they hadn't put so much thought on the Beast and Iron Man before they came out ...)

I can understand including Blade, as there is a paucity of Black characters to
choose from. Only 4 so far, and not a whole lot waiting in the wings.
Which is kind of surprising, now that I think about it. I have seen Marvel as
being on the forefront in diverse racial representations, but I realize now
that non-White characters have tended mostly to be in supporting roles --
Robbie Robertson, Gabe Jones, Misty Knight, etc.

Well, I didn't know Blade was so popular. In fact, if EM wanted to release an Afro American character, I would have thought of The Black Panther, War Machine, Powerman or the Falcon first...
Ororo was on my A list characters from the start (we are lucky EM didn't release her in her skin head mood ...).
I don't want to deviate from the figurine thread, but I agree with JB, I don't remember a Marvel Afro American character owning his own title for a long time(the Black Panther drawn by JR Jr was great, but it was 4-5 years ago I think ...)

Richard, Blade has had 3 movies made. That certainly makes him popular enough in the minds of managerial people.
