Picked up Power Girl and Lightning Lad, they look great.
Looking forward to more Legionnaire's. Like the looks they have so far. While I wouldn't mind the early costumes, I was introduced to them in the early 70's so I do like the Dave Cockrum and Mike Grell era, so I'm liking these.

Power Girl today. Had to order her again, since my previous order seems definitely to have gone the way of ALL FLASH. Gawdawful paint job on the face! Added a little mascara with the XS PITT pen, to make her less goggle eyed, and some black in the mouth the make her look more like she is smiling and less like she has been caught in the process of blowing a bubble of chewing gum.Otherwise, seams notwithstanding, nice sculpt. I wonder if this, like the Ame-Comi version, will slowly tip forward. (Noticed the magazine was numbered 70. I have bought only about 40 of the DC figures, and some of them only because they were on sale. Far, far behind the Marvel collection.)

Picked up my first DC figurine in aaaaaages. Deadman. The base is a nice touch.

As happy as I am with the figures themselves. I'm growing increasingly disgusted with the contempt for history displayed by the accompanying magazines. Some of these characters have been around for more than half a century, yet almost every image included in the magazines seems to have pulled from the last five years. For example, I don't recall a single image from the 1940s from either the Jay Garrick or Alan Scott issues.
I got Lightning Lad this week, and as a life-long Legion fan, I was pleased that they chose to depict him in the Cockrum costume he wore in the 70s and 80s. For my money, it's the single best costume upgrade in the history of super-heroes, so I was annoyed to find that there was only ONE image of LL in this particular costume in the entire issue! In most of the pictures, he's wearing the new suit he's had for only the last three or four years, with a handful of images of his original costume. Even worse, there's not a single Cockrum illustration in the entire book. We get one Grell, one Swan (which is better than what Cosmic Boy got), but not a hint of the guy who actually designed the costume!
Criminal, I tells ya.

Oh yeah, I picked up the Captain Atom too. It looks pretty good.
Ray, I agree about the books. I just kind of quick glance them, but you're right, you do wonder what they're thinking. I guess they're just getting the newer stuff for the younger fans. I don't really care too much about the books though, I'm just glad they used the Cockrum costume for the figurine. I figure that if they use the 60's or Cockrum/Grell era costumes I'll be happy. I don't mind some modern versions, i.e. Cosmic Boy. I just want nice versions.

Love the Jack Knight Starman!
As a big fan of the Animated Series, the monstrous "muck-monster" version of Clayface is near and dear to my heart. That pose makes it look like he'd be better off as a Swamp Thing sculpt, though. Add a few vines to his head and body and paint him different shades of green instead of brown, and it'd be a dead ringer.
