Nice piece by Silas, who I'm not familiar with otherwise. Color choices are always among the most subjective, and interesting. I get the red theme, carried through from the sky to the bleeding Batman. I find myself wanting to reimagine the coloring with cooler background colors, saving the warms for the figure of Batman to make him "pop" a little. Of course, you'd lose the red theme that way. I guess that's what photoshop is for (or roughs). Great addition to your themed collection.

One more, an actual cover from Timothy Green. DC is doing an alternate cover month where the covers are to be coloring book images that will be left black and white. This is the one from Detective Comics

Give a five year old that to color and watch him have a nervous breakdown . . .
Nice piece, tho'. (And yeah, I know, it's part of the coloring for adults trend . . . )

That is beautifully drawn. I think I'd be reluctant to have a go at colouring a copy though.
Naturally, you'll be colouring the original, right? :)

I received a few new additions to the Ben Grimm Poker Game collection recently. The first was a holiday gift and features the art of Thom Zahler. Simple and fun. Both are essential components of a good poker game.

The second poker game piece was a commission that I received a few weeks back. Nadir Balan added many fun nuances to this piece.

Saw this at an art dealer's table shortly after he bought it a handful of years ago. Resisted the urge to buy it, since I was aware of the immediate, triple fold mark-up. Over the years, I have become more focused on picking up Garcia-Lopez Hex pages. I love the character and the genre, but Jose's ability to bring the old west (and any period pieces, for that matter) to life is extraordinary. The more that I look at this page, the more enamored and impressed I am with it.

Very cool page, Fred. That 4th panel is really something.
