Wish I could make Connecticut, but my weekend is pretty much booked.  There are more folks on the guest list I'd be interested in seeing than at the Boston con, and it sounds like a good show.

It has become as close to an obsession as I've fallen into in this hobby.
The relationship has elevated my love of his art. Not obsessed, but
seeing the originals semi-regularly and then looking at them over the
course of a weekend, has fed the focus in growing to be the core of my
collection. The friendships are truly the primary reason in going to
shows. The only reason that I still attend, truth be told. Con floors are
nuts!

I agree with you. It was kind of a totally new world for me these last 3 or 4 years, and i met so many people as i finally had the means of being able to go to more shows than just my local one.

But over time, these days, one of the main reasons i still go is because of the friendships i developed and because it's the only time we pretty much see each others, with people like you, Paul Greer, Joe Hollon, and so many others....as well as artists i now know and love, like Jose.

And it's nice to be able to share that passion with all of you. That's how i ended here, on this forum, not long ago: meeting all those people from the forum at shows. ;)

Back to enjoying artwork now!

Some great art on this page. Two great pieces from Ari alone! That piece by RB Silva is a wonderful looking thing. Wow!

Pelletier is REALLY talented.

Went to a small one day hotel con in my area today. Dandy Don Simpson made a rare con appearance. I've always enjoyed his sense of humor. I had him do Darkseid in my sketchbook. Here is what he came up with.

Picked this Captain Atom sketch from Brett Booth. It was his Sketch Saturday piece for August 8th.
