Avengers vs. Agents of Atlas #2, page 16 by Gabriel Hardman
I especially love the close-up on Cap's face, and his flashback with the original shield at his side... Thor letting go of Mjolnir is nice too ;-)

Lee Weeks' visuals are always impressive and his work on Daredevil certainly stands out as both action-packed and emotionally driven. Al Williamson inking him doesn't hurt at all either. The Fall of the Kingpin story line focused on Wilson Fisk's ongoing obsession over destroying Daredevil. The multi-issue story resulted in that obsession leaving Fisk a broken man at the hero's feet. I initially saw this piece of original art Daredevil #00, page 33) years ago and was struck by the visuals and narrative as a powerful reminder of the unhealthy aspects of anger and the liberation that comes with forgiveness. I approached Lee about buying it, without hesitating. The page mean't a lot to him and he stated that he wasn't ready to sell it. Over the years, the page called to me at every convention that I saw it at and, while I really appreciated all aspects of it, I eventually stopped bugging the man. :)
Last week, I received a message from Lee, asking if I was still interested. The call and the page coming to me has been very timely in its message.
I am happy to say that this artwork will be framed and displayed in my counseling office for both clients and clinicians to see.

What a way to start out the New Year, a commission by Dave Gibbons. I have been a fan of Dave's since I first saw his Doctor in Marvel Premiere #57 "Doctor Who and the Iron Legion." which was reprinted from Doctor Who Weekly #1. Many are fans of his Watchmen but for me Dave's Doctor Who featuring Tom Baker is my favorite work by him. Thrilled to have Dave contribute to my iPod theme besides featuring the 4th Doctor, Tom Baker it includes Leela (1st time Dave has drawn her) and K-9. The Doctor is chewing on some Jelly Babies.
