I am regularly amazed at Jose's ability to take a fairly
mundane scene and put energy into it. His eye for detail is
also impressive. Bruce has his foot up on a piece of
machinery, in a similar stance to the one that his is
holding on an earlier page in this very issue. Mannerisms,
body language and weight are all captured and displayed by
this artist.

I was primarily a Marvel reader throughout my childhood,
but this epic team-up and Garcia-Lopez's artwork drew me to
this issue as intensely as if it were the best that the
competition had to offer. Every time that I see images from
this story, I grin like a kid!

While I may have seen this book at some point during my
childhood, I was never drawn to it simply because the team-
up didn't appeal to me at the time. Since then, I've become
much more aware of the art contained within these pages. I
am very happy to have a page featuring both Superman and
Wonder Woman as well as a nice shot of her invisible jet.
The art in this book is awesome and I am very fortunate to
be able to see it up close.

Those that know me, know that I adore Jose Luis Garcia-
Lopez and that I love his work on Jonah Hex. This page
displays many of the reasons why.

This piece is the prize of my collection. Not only because
it displays Jonah's heart (which was more evident in the
grizzled bounty hunter during his first series) and is
beautifully rendered and filled with warmth that would melt
the most cynical minds out there, but also because it was
given to me by one of my dearest friends. It will hang in
my house during every holiday season.

Back in January I picked up some pencils only pages by Butch Guice from the Winter Soldier. I was unable to find the inked pages, so I assumed they had digitally inked them. Last weekend I came across the inked pages for sale via a random search on Comic Art Fans.

Being there when Paul asked Alan Davis for the Howard the Duck, I was hoping I'd get to see the finished piece. Nice!

Anyway, having finally gotten around to visiting my scanner, my Five Heads From Baltimore:
