Hah! I've been wondering for years why nobody was buying that BOTD
page after all this time. I remember JB talking about it at MOC'04
before it hit the stands. I was tempted a couple of times to buy it myself!

The posting of the art splurge continues:

Jack Kirby's Fourth World #16, page 7 by Byrne.

I think my love for the New Gods and Byrne's FOURTH WORLD series is well known around here.  This page definitely stood out to me on Jim's web site and I had to give it a proper home!

This is my fourth page from this same issue, pretty cool I think.

The last few pieces are perfect examples of good,
sequential storytelling being more powerful than many
splashes and big character shots out there.

John, that's an interesting piece.  I don't know the artist but it reminds me a lot of some of the REALLY early Byrne work I've seen posted here.

OK, last new page for now:

Jack Kirby's Fourth World #11, page 14....more of the continuing adventure of Metron and Desaad!  I'm a sucker for any page with Metron and I really enjoyed the plot line with these two.

This is my 4th page from this particular issue (three of them consecutive).

Some great art from personal favourite artists on this page. I've long admired Jackson Guice -- would be great to own some of his original art one day.

The Bethany splash is beautiful.

And gosh, what an artist Gene Colan was.

Ari, that Ron Garney Batman is amazing. I love his work.
