Fred,

Pretty soon you may be able to get an IDW Artist's Edition from all those Jonah Hex pages!

Love them!

Congrats!

My daughter bought me this book for Christmas...

Not because I'm particularly interested in directing an animated feature, but because it was authored by Tony Bancroft, an old friend of mine that went on (with his twin brother, Tom) to animate several features for Disney, co-directed Mulan, and has gone to many other great things.  Anyways, she bought the book, tracked Tony down and asked him to personalize the copy for me, which resulted with him drawing this in the book for me, all characters he animated....

What a great gift, I must say!

Fred, I guess that Garcia-Lopez guy is pretty good...

Very cool book (and story) Dan!

I have been reading all the new Rocketeer series IDW has been putting
out. Some great talent on the series, I have picked up a few pieces from
the series including ones by Spouse and Sook. I just received two great
pieces PMS did for the first issue of Pulp Friction teaming up Rocketeer
and the Spirit. I read the series last year and tried to get the last page but
wasn't able to get in contact with Paul. Fast forward to this year and
thanks to a fellow collector I found out PMS has a new website and posted
art from the series for sale. Besides the last page I couldn't pass up the
cover. He did a great job on the issue especially the cover with Rocketeer
and Spirit. I also received a couple of surprises in the package from Paul.
Another pieces which I should be receiving this week is from the X-Men
Wedding Album buy Ron Garney and inks by Bill Sienkiewicz. Been after it
for a while, great composition featuring Kurt teleporting Betsy appearing
twice in the scene. Great start to the year. Enjoy.

I love the way you can feel the wind whipping around in that Garney Batman.

My first thought, when seeing this, was that it really
looks like Gallium March. March's artwork has connected
more with me than any other new artist in some time and
has a strong Kubert feel to his work. A solid Garney piece
and great addition to your gallery Ari.

"The Sentinels" Cartoon Show ad

During the late 80s and early 90s, the "Standard Comics Encyclopedia" had successfully put their stable of characters into various merchandising, including action figures. The next step was a weekly Saturday Morning cartoon show.

Featuring the core Sentinels (Optima, UltraMan, Raven, Dr. Quantum, Crimson Streak, Black Orchid, and the Grim Reaper) the show ran for 4 seasons.

The recurring villains included Dreadhelm, Emulex, Deathless Brain, Count Orlok, Cyborilla, Nega-Man, and the Eliminator.

~~~~~~~
Sadly, not a real cartoon.
Dave Bednarski is awesome and provided a great commissioning experience.
