Tammy surprised me today with another page from Jonah Hex #4 (page#5) to add in my attempt to get as many as possible from this issue. A beautiful woman comes to Jonah's aid in what is an all-to-rare moment of good fortune in the gun slinger's life. Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez did both pencils and inks on this piece.
Looking at this page and the woman who gave it to me, remind me of my own good fortune.

I've said it before Fred. Hold on to that woman like grim death. You ain't get any better than her. ;)

Great page, Jovi. I still have my original newsstand copy of that issue!

I have to say Andru and Janson are an attractive looking combination. Andru's work seems much better served by Janson than by others who inked him more regularly.

I agree. Andru's work never looked better than when inked by Janson.

Despite the amount of work he did for DC, I still always associate Andru with Marvel. That said, that is a sweet page and he did a beautiful job on those characters!

I love that Andru page. Remember admiring it when it was published in that issue. Great, great get.

Last two pieces of 2013 should have arrived earlier in the week but you know how crazy it is for shipping around the Holidays. The first
Brave and the Bold #187 Jim Aparo cover (loved his Batman especially B&B work). Been looking for the right example, this is what I love about B&B series the off-beat team-ups and Metal men are the perfect example.
The other is a commission from Enric Torres who created many of the covers for the Warren Vampirella series back in the 70s and early 80s. I have a few cover prelims by him and some small recreations of my favorite Vampirella covers he did (his published originals are too much for me). I decided to get an original commission with my favorite antagonist Blood Red Queen (yes she has no eyes). Was even able to work in my theme.
