Joe & Paul - I got an email regarding the Kickstarter project saying that due to circumstances beyond their control, the book was delayed and wouldn't be published till next year (2014). Instead of making supporters wait around for that long, they cancelled the Kickstarter and refunded everyone's money. I'm guessing they'll do another Kickstarter eventually, but I don't know that for sure.

No. The artwork sent out to backers was touted as a "special surprise"
for those who backed the project, in order to thank them for their
support. I received a cool sabretooth sketch, but it was much rougher
than what Roger received. I am still thrilled with the piece and the
gesture.

Yeah, that's really cool they sent you that even though it was cancelled.  Hopefully it will get published at some point.

I bought a Deadpool pin-up in May plus one other commission of Dark Phoenix from an artist and I still haven`t received it.

I have tried to contact him numerous times, but he doesn`t reply to my e-mails.

Is my money gone or is there something I can do??? I have also tried to contact him via one of his friends, but that didn`t help either.

Soren, I would prefer we don't use this thread to call out our problems
with artists. Having said that, I commissioned Stroman in the past. It
did take longer than promised but he came through in the end. I'm sure
your pieces will come.

whoops, sorry about that Paul.  I didnt recall posting this one.  Feel free to take it down.

As far as calling out artists, perhaps a separate thread makes more sense, as this one is reserved for showcasing art

I don't think any thread calling out artists is wise for this forum. You can
find plenty of those on other message boards. While I sympathize with
people losing money (been there myself) I say we keep the art threads
dedicated just to art.
