My second piece from Gene Gonzales after my great Big Barda piece from last year. Still saving up to get a commission from Mr. Byrne.

I've been waiting on this piece for a long time. The payoff in both conversations with Cliff Robinson and with the completed project has been enormous. The restrictions as far as file size for the forum leave the image here at a size that loses a great deal of detail, but Cliff blew me away with the amount of detail as well as the number of characters and interactions.... universes beyond what I initially requested. I've added the link for my CAF page, featuring this piece in a larger scan.

The man did a lot of work in setting up the above piece. Along with the commission, he included these... I've never seen so much put into prelim work before...

... and I had a fun surprise, when opening up the package, shipping from the UK.
Though I fear for the future safety of the United States.

Fred, those are some great pieces. Especially the Poker game illustration. Love the detail.

Picked up this Batman commission piece yesterday at Austin Con from Miguel Angel Sepulveda. This guy gets some serious travel time in. Flew 19 hours from Spain for this show. Him and his translator, David, were gracious, great people.
