Fellow JBFer, John Popa and I visited a Haunted House in Crestline, Ohio. It is run by Robert Kurtzman who has done special effects on numerous films. He is also a film director. For the event he brought in actor Robert Englund.
Here is a Willie from V doodle by Englund.
Here is some concept art from Kurtzman for the movie The Wishmaster.

The main reason for going to the Akron Con (besides seeing friends) was to meet Jon Bogdanove. He is an artist whose work I have always enjoyed but someone I have never ran across at all the cons I've attended. Real nice guy who has a real love of Superman. (He is in the "man who happens to be an alien" camp. Not the "alien pretending to be human" camp.)I was lucky enough to score this sketch. He was so busy signing books he didn't have much time to sketch.

Last but not least is a few from JB. Here are two pages from 2112. Had to be cropped as they were too large for my scanner.

Big thanks to Jim Warden for finding the final page to the Green Lantern Corps story, "Many Are Called...".I have the other five pages of this six page story. I had all but given up ever finding page one. Luckily, Jim had it all along buried in his massive stacks of artwork.
The other pages can be found here. http://www.comicartfans.com/galleryroom.asp?gsub=97584

Very cool, Paul.
That Scioli came out fantastic. Hadn't seen the Akron pieces yet besides the Bogdanove.
Another fantastic art year!
