I loved Pat Olliffe's take on Spider-Man in the too-short
lived Untold Tales of Spider-Man series, but have never had
the opportunity to meet the man. Eddy picked this up for me
in Pittsburgh. Love it and it captures a the young
superhero perfectly.

I supported a Kickstarter campaign that featured a
children's book with illustrations by Mike Ploog. Not sure
what exactly happened, but I received a notification that
the book was not going to materialize. About a month ago, I
received this in the mail. I am disappointed about the
book, but blown away to have such a cool piece from a great
artist.

This preliminary piece that became the 2009 DC Comic
Holiday Card is a great example of the incredible skills
that Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez has across the board.
Guaranteed to make any curmudgeon get a bit of the spirit.

I am proud to call Eddy Barrows a friend. A man with a
great heart and masterful hand. His ability to elicit
emotion on the page blows my mind. This is a page that he
was working on when I visited him in Brazil.

... and this is simply one of the best interpretations of
Gordan to grace DC Comics in the past 30 years.

Eddy's last issues of Nightwing, before being taken off in
the ongoing editorial shuffling madness that is DC,
involved the return of the Joker. Dark, to say the least.

I was able to pick up 4 more Jonah Hex pages by Jose Luis
Garcia-Lopez. This piece is a part of the imposter story
line that I especially loved from his time on the book.

My first experience reading the run of Weird Western
Tales and Jonah Hex was as an adult and the volume had
been collected in black in white as a Showcase edition.
Loved the stuff immediately in a way that I wouldn't have
as a kid focused on superheroes. Jose's storytelling
skills and the beauty of the pages in his work on this
character has led to my initial intent of picking up a
few pages to what has become an ongoing and growing
collection of pieces from these issues. He pointed out
the white out usage on this page as evidence of his
insecurity as an artist at this time. He went on to state
that now he lets something sit as opposed to continuing
to draw through something that doesnt look right...... I
am still thrown by the fact that a person producing this
could question the quality of the work.
