Brian has all the envy today! Fabulous piece of art, Brian. That one won't be in circulation for a very long time. Enjoy!

A fun and funky page from Batman vs. The Incredible Hulk, featuring the Shaper of Worlds explaining his existential purpose to the Joker, while the Clown Prince of Crime juices him up! Garcia-Lopez and Giordano worked extremely well together.... and were brilliant together in this story!

I've bought the last week in ebay this pretty astonishing Superman's page.

When I saw it in ebay I thought that Clark's coat it was drawn with "trama" (I don't know how to say it in English, maybe "pattern"?) but it was drawn by hand, awesome.

I will put it a nice frame, it's my treasure, I never imagined that I will have a page from that Superman run...

Another huge score for me is this page. I love all of Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez' DC work, but I've grown more and more in love with his work from Jonah Hex. There is a story that John Buscema was in the Marvel offices and given some Superman style guide pages from his editor. Upon looking at the pages, he was very impressed by Jose' work. I only became aware of this incident recently, but it makes sense that Buscema would appreciate Garcia-Lopez' work, since they both pay specific detail to building a scene and are amazing at figures.... both human and animal.

Nice score Jose. I love John's visual storytelling. The movement is exciting, irregardless of whether there is a cape to be seen on page.

John Buscema sure knew how to draw someone sitting!  Amazing!

Three lovely pages on display above by Byrne and Garcia-Lopez!

Beautiful JLGL pages!

I remember reading that John Buscema, upon seeing Garcia-Lopez'
Superman style guides, wondered if JLGL might ink the second
Superman/Spider-Man team-up. Imagine what THAT might have
looked like...

I picked up three more pages from Defenders #80 by Herb
Trimpe at Wizard World Philadelphia yesterday, but I only
found scans for two of them...
